Programme

 

 

Brief History of Programme

 The Quantity Surveying Programme started in 1991/92 academic session with an intake of 3 students. The student enrolment has raised hundred fold to over three hundred in the 2005/2006 session. The Quantity Surveying Registration Board granted the programme Resource Accreditation status in 2004. The NUC Accreditation team visited the programme in 2006. In that exercise the programme earned Interim Accreditation status.

Vision and Mission Statement

To produce graduates with the requisite skills to collect data, analyse them, present, and advise on cost information on construction.

Admission Requirements

 Normal Admission:

Admission shall usually be by Entrance Examination organised by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (J.A.M.B.) to the 100 Level. To be eligible for admission, candidates must have successfully completed the Senior Secondary School Programme and passed at credit level in English Language, mathematics, Physics, and any other two subjects from the following: Chemistry, Technical Drawing, Fine Arts, Economics, Geography, Building Construction and Land Surveying.

Direct Entry Admission:

Holders of H. S. C., G. C. E., A/Level, I. J. M. B. with passes in Mathematics, Physics and any of the other 'O' Level subjects as listed above may be admitted to the 200 Level of the Programme. Such candidates would be required to make up for any deficiency in their academic background. Candidates with OND/ND in Quantity Surveying or related disciplines at credit level may also be admitted to the 200 level of the Programme. Candidates in all cases are expected to have met the minimum 'O' Level requirement as in 2.1 above.

Special Admission:

Transfer cases from other institutions and holders of HND with pass at credit level may be admitted to the appropriate Level of the Programme. Such candidates would usually be required to make up for any deficiency in their academic background.
