Sesay, a pure mathematician and mathematics educator, succeeded Prof. Garba in 1994 and headed the Programme until 1995. In 1995, Prof. Ram, a Professor of applied mathematics, was appointed to take over from Prof. Sesay. In 1996, Prof. Garba took over from Prof. Ram and headed the Programme until 1998. The Programme was headed by Late Professor E.J.A. Edemenang, a Professor of Computer Science from 1998 to 2001 when Professor M.S. Sesay took over. Presently, the Programme is offering mathematics, computer science and statistics.
