Bauchi Town:

The Bauchi town falls within the Sudan Savannah region of Nigeria, which is characterized by two main seasons. The rainy (wet) season starts from mid - May to October while the dry season starts from October to early May. The average annual rainfall is 16.7 cm. During the rainy season the temperature is as low as 21° C while during dry season it can be as high as 34° C. The annual average temperature range is between 25° C to 29° C. The vegetation is Sudan Savannah type, characterized by sparse vegetation, made up mainly of shrubs, few trees and tall grasses. Between November and February a cool dry weather, known as the "harmattan" is usually experienced.

The town falls within the northern Nigerian basement complex (Crystalline rocks). It lies within Longitude 9°45' - 10° 00' and Latitude 10°15' - 10°30'. There are very good access roads all over Bauchi. The town is well connected by road to the adjoining states that have airport (Jos, Abuja and Kano). From Jos airport to Bauchi is about 170km, from Kano airport to Bauchi is about 380km, from Abuja airport to Bauchi is about 500km. The epithet of Bauchi town is "Sport City".
