SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE CENTER

The Center has been able to ease both research and communication, through providing easy access for e- learning using the modern digital communication system.

A variety of Information Technology services are achieved courtesy of the center's VSAT Internet connectivity. The VSAT provides an uninterrupted link to the internet at all times.

The center thus offer a variety of Information Technology Services such as

•  Internet services that include e- mail, browsing, Internet based Research as well as internet chat

•  Helpdesk services that include servicing of computers, maintenance, Assembly, upgrade design and construction of data networks

•  Desktop publishing, such as Word processing, Design and Printing, Cards production, Digital imaging and editing, as well as Color separation and Scanning

•  Application development, that implies designing of customized software and applications to suit clients need

•  Website design and hosting, which has to do with design creation and hosting of websites

TRAININGS

The ICT Center has been involved in delivering qualitative training programmes in collaboration with the Education Trust Fund (ETF) and the International IT corporate organizations like Cisco inc. of the USA sponsors of the ATBU Cisco Networking Academy . The academy prepares students for Industry certification examinations of Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Certificate, and IT Essentials, to cater for the growing IT markets through provision of industry certification on the internet, Microsoft products, Hardware AND maintenance (A + , Network + , Server +, MCSE, MCP). The Center also organized Trainings in Computer Appreciation for Bauchi state FADAMA II Project Field Officers. A similar training has been on going in-house for ATBU Members of Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU ATBU)

Emphasis on existing and widespread uses of ICT's in education, wireless telecommunications, Internet, computing and next- generation networking technologies enable ICTC to provide technical standards and academic certification; sound implementation strategies; comprehensive regional, national and local plans; appropriate educational pedagogy and content; networking infrastructure; and sufficient equipment, training and technical support.
