FACILITIES AT THE CENTER

The following facilities are on ground at the ICTC ATBU

•  V-SAT Internet connectivity. The center has its own exclusive V-SAT facility this gives it some measure of independence from the public server whose services it cannot guaranty. Domiciled in ATBU a research oriented institution worldwide acclaimed, the VSAT provides an uninterrupted link to the internet at all times.

The facility has the following components;

Complete VSAT equipment including cyber gate, server, switches, patch panels and other accessories

•  Complete deployment of campus area network linking virtually all the major units of the university

• Well equipped training room installed with fully networked computers
• Well equipped air conditioned cyber café installed with fully networked computers

•  To ensure uninterrupted power supply, the center is equipped with alternative sources of power that include UPS, solar photovoltaic with battery back- up, and a generating set

•  Micro wave and environmental research laboratory. The facility is for advanced research on the properties of the Nigerian airspace. It is significant for the eventual indigenous development and launching of our satellite and other space systems. Such highly sophisticated microwave engineering equipment as logic analyzers, High frequency signal generators, Chart recorders, Digital multi- meter and power meter.
